10.7-10.11

This week was a busy week! Students practiced writing lab reports for a practice height lab. Not only was the format of lab report the focus this week, but also we practiced formatting data in a spreadsheet and how to manipulate the data to analyze it and conclude. Students learned how to take the data in a spreadsheet and represent it using graphs. As we move forward students will continue to use spreadsheets and graphs to represent their data, as well as interpret them. We have officially started unit 2 which is all about matter. The focus for this week is to learn good note taking strategies to aide in learning the material in unit 2. This week we will be doing a lab that deals with density as well as looking at the difference between physical and chemical characteristics.
